STEPPUHN, Annie

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Annie Steppuhn (née Dihanits) on Sunday, April 23, 2023, at the age of 91. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Angela (Frank) Ritz, and their children, Frank Jr. (Natsuko) and Adam; her daughter Jaqueline (Dave) Forsyth; her son Mathias (Melanie) and their children, Maxwell and Milan; as well as her niece Debbie Szing of Kelowna; and her many other nieces and nephews in Europe.

Annie was born in Rutland in a little house on Hollywood Road on December 23, 1931, and was the youngest child. Annie was predeceased by her parents, Anna and Mathias Dihanits; her sister Marie; and brother Mathias. Annie was married to Alfred Steppuhn, a bricklayer and farmer, for fifty-nine years prior to his passing. Her life enriched others through her baking, generosity, gratitude, service, and teachings.

In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in memory of Annie to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

A Funeral Mass will be held TUESDAY, MAY 2, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at CORPUS CHRISTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, with Father Pat Monette (750 Rutland Road North, Kelowna, BC). A reception will follow downstairs. Interment will follow at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery (1991 Bernard Ave, Kelowna, BC).
