Long-time Kelowna resident, Adele Stewart (Wood), passed away on January 31, 2013. Adele was born in Glasgow, Scotland on March 10, 1911. She is survived by Christina (Bert) Willms of Kelowna, Maureen (John) Bednar of Kamloops, along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Allen, daughters Judy and Maeve and son Jim. No service by request, ashes to be interred in Revelstoke, BC in the summer. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice Association – Hospice House, 2035 Ethel Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 2Z6 or “Mwanza Project MW24” (orphanage) c/o Trinity Baptist Church, 1905 Springfield Rd., Kelowna, BC V1Y 7V7.
