We Remember

STEWART, Joanne Catherine (née McCaw)

July 20, 1955 — September 3, 2022

Our hearts are broken from the sudden loss of our darling girl, Joanne Catherine Stewart, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and dog mommy extraordinaire.

Joanne was born and raised in Winnipeg, MB before moving to BC to marry the love of her life, Brian. Joanne’s greatest joy as a mother were her people: Melissa (Neil Gelowitz), Briana, Justin (Kristy), and
Blueberry. She adored her grandsons, Carsen and Ryland Gelowitz, as well. Joanne is also survived by Susu (Michael) Reid, Connor and Katie Reid, Sara Gray (Jessica), Bob Philip, Kevin (Sara) McCaw, James and Mark McCaw.

After her family, Joanne’s passions were her dogs, crafting, cooking, music, dancing and “swarmy” Hallmark Movies. Joanne was a profoundly gifted artist and loved to comb beaches searching for crafting materials. Joanne loved to travel in our Cougar to Bear Creek and Qualicum Beach, to shop for things to decorate her craft room (floor) and to shop for EVERYTHING CHRISTMAS. 4 pm daily was reserved for Murder She Wrote.

Joanne is on a beach singing and dancing with her Fur Babies.

There will be a Private Family Service. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joanne can be made to the BC SPCA.
