Lynda was a vey dear friend of mine. I remember the first day I met her at the police department kitchen, 20 years ago, she was busy scurrying around the kitchen multitasking as she always did. She was such a hard worker. Lynda seemed shy at first but we were fast friends. And the customers loved her, she knew everyone’s order as they came in , she was easy going and friendly. I remember how she would dance and sing around the kitchen when her favourite song (at the time) came on the radio ~ if you could read my mind ~ (remade by Stars on 54) Lynda loved to dance and didn’t disappoint at my bachelorette party, she danced the whole night!

I moved to the Okanagan a few years ago and was happy that I had a friend already living in Kelowna. Lynda and I would meet up for dinner ever so often and chit chat. She shared with me her love and appreciation for having Gerry in her life. She also spoke about how happy she was to have her mother, Margaret living in Canada with her. I really miss our chats.

Lynda was so kind and thoughtful, she never missed my birthday or wedding anniversary. She shared with me her love fine wines and food. I remember the first time she had me over for a wine pairing with Gerry at their home and also the excellent unassuming restaurants she would introduce me too.

I’m sad Lynda passed so young, she truly loved life and it’s not fair that she’s gone so soon.

Love you and miss you Lynda. I have no doubt you are dancing in the sky.
