We Remember
STROMSTEN, Guy
March 6, 1960 — August 7, 2026
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Guy Stromsten on August 7, 2026. Born on March 6, 1960, in Langley, British Columbia, Guy lived a life filled with love for his family, a sense of adventure, and a deep care for those around him. Guy passed away peacefully, held in the loving arms of his children, Matt and Jessica, with his son-in-law Wade, his grandson Kipton, and Pastor John Tucker by his bedside. Surrounded by love and prayer, Guy knew how deeply he was loved until his very last breath.
Guy was a kind, gentle, and forgiving man who cared deeply for the people in his life. He had a generous heart and was always showing others just how much they meant to him. Above all else, his children and grandchildren were his entire world. He loved them beyond words, and the time he spent with them brought him his greatest joy.
Guy had a love of adventure and the outdoors. He was happiest enjoying some of his favourite pastimes with his friends and family which included, fishing, racing his 67 Mercury Cougar, dirt biking, dancing or flying planes. These passions brought him many memorable moments throughout his life.
Guy is survived by his former wife, Arlene, with whom he shared 35 years; his children, Jessica (Wade) and Matt (Erin); his stepchildren, Amber (Karl) and Corey (Christie); and his beloved grandchildren, Mallory, Noel, Kipton, Lawson, Hazel, Edwin, Beau, Laurence, Lucy, and Colter. He is also survived by his mother, Wilma; his siblings, Terry, Laurie, Rudy, and Carmen; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Guy also leaves behind many treasured friends, including those he came to know during his 35-year career at the grain elevator and through his shared passions for racing and dirt biking. He was predeceased by his father, Laurence.
His gentle spirit, forgiving nature, and deep love for his family and the Lord will remain in the hearts of those who knew him. His children and grandchildren will carry with them the immeasurable love he had for each of them and the memories they were fortunate enough to share.
We give heartfelt thanks to Jesus for blessing Guy and our family with Pastor John Tucker, a faithful shepherd who walked beside us during the final eight months of Guy’s life, sharing Scripture, prayer, comfort, and peace.
“I will give you shepherds after my own heart who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” — Jeremiah 3:15
Guy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, and he will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life is being planned for Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the family property in South Langley. Further details to be announced.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” — John 3:16

I was so sorry to hear of Guys passing. I knew him in our twenties and he was a very sweet man with a big smile and heart! Loved his children Matt and Jessica. We lost touch over the years but I will always remember him as I knew him then.
