We Remember
SUMMERS, Ginger
—
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Ginger Summers, on January 19, 2022, at the age of 70, in Kelowna, BC.
Ginger is survived and missed by her husband Bryan Groves; sons Christopher Summers (Thu) and Paul Summers; her stepdaughter Tina Adams (née Groves) (Mike); stepson Jason Groves (Crissy); grandchildren Michaela, Lily, Ansley and Ella; and brothers Gordon (Irene), Heinz (Rose) and Walter (Christine). She was predeceased by her father Gunter Noetzel; mother Irmgard Noetzel; and her first husband Walt.
Ginger was born in Bavaria, Germany and moved to Edmonton, Alberta with her parents as a child, where she was raised. She moved to the Okanagan in 1976, settling in Kelowna in 1984. She enjoyed a successful career with the Government of Canada and enjoyed assorted hobbies, especially knitting and reading. And nothing made her prouder than the success of all her children.
She was a quiet, but a friendly, caring, and loving wife and mother. Ginger will be greatly missed by all her loved ones and all who knew her.
