We Remember

SWANSON, Sandra Lee

August 22, 1953 — August 9, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Sandra “Sandi” Lee Swanson, who passed away with her family by her side in Kelowna, BC, on August 9, 2026.

Sandi was born on August 22, 1953, in Brandon, Manitoba, where she spent her childhood before making the Okanagan her home for most of her adult life.

Sandi had a warm and creative spirit, finding joy in sewing, painting, and crafting. She had a special love for her garden, tending to both vegetables and beautiful flowers with care and pride. Above all, she was a devoted mother and grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her family.

Sandi will be lovingly remembered by her spouse, Gary; her children, Duane and Sara; her grandchildren, Emilie and Kyra; and all her cherished family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, and in honour of Sandi’s love for animals, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the BC SPCA.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 1355 DeHart Road, Kelowna, BC, with an open house from 1:00 pm onwards.
