Dear Rosalie, Bodo, Christopher, Erica and family,
I am so sorry to hear about Diana’s passing. I remember her as such a classy grandmother in my classroom and always so appreciative of the special events I held. May you cherish the lessons she taught you and hear her laughter on the days you need it most.
Sincerely,
Julie Fiorentino
I have just found out the sad news.
I had the pleasure of spending some time with Diana in the mid ’90s at the University of Waterloo. I would talk to her whenever I was at the Grad House, and never failed to enjoy her positive outlook, practical advice, and patience with the occasional Graduate Student Association antics. Many alumni will gratefully remember her assistance, including her “Zehrs” scholarship initiative, later named in her honor.
May you find some comfort in the positive impact she left.
Thank you so much for remembering our Mom from the Grad House days and her hard work with the Zehr’s scholarship. Much appreciated.
We send our deepest, most heartfelt condolences. May these words of sympathy and understanding bring your family comfort in the loss of your loved one – UW Faculty of Arts
Thank you for your message. It is appreciated.
Diana was such a classy, intelligent, refined and strong individual. She did wonders for the Graduate Student Association at the University of Waterloo. While president of that association I found her loyalty to be unwavering. Diana always left a lasting impact on whatever she touched. She was such a kind and supportive friend. I will never forget her.

Thank you Nelson for your kind words. We really appreciate it.
My mother was very fond of you, and spoke of you many times over the years.
We miss her enormously.
Sad to see this news (we didn’t know till now) and that Diana died barely 2 months after Jenny’s mother Joyce Pike (Sept 2024) so 2024 marks the end of an era, and now we’re all the “terminal Generation”. With love to you all from Ian and Jenny in Panama (for 20 years already and loving it! It’s our Rhodesia rom the good old days!)
