SZAROZ, James Charles

November 15, 1932 — February 23, 2014

James Szaroz passed away on February 23, 2014 after a battle with COPD at the age of 81.  He is survived by his loving family: wife Evelyn (“Ev”) of 58 years; son Larry (Brenda); daughter Sharon; dearly loved grandchildren Jason (Paula), Colin (Riki), Tara (Matt) and great grandchildren, Shea-Marie, Ryder, Easton and twin girls Teagen and Kelsey; and brother Bill.  Jim was born in Melville, SK.  In 1956 Jim and Ev moved to Kelowna where he continued to work as a Heavy Duty Mechanic.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting, square dancing, travel, cards and camping.  Sincere appreciation goes out to the nursing staff and doctors on 4E at KGH.  There will be no funeral by request.  Donations in memory of Jim may be made to a charity of your choice.  If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”
