Heartfelt condolences to the family of Aunt Ethel. As a young man traveling through B.C. I had always made a point of visiting with Ethel and Bob in Kelowna. Their hospitality, friendship, and usually a bit of mischief could be counted on. In later years my wife and I enjoyed visits, as did our children as the years passed. Ethel was not just my Aunt, but a special friend to me as well. I will always cherish that. I salute Ethel in the way she lived her life and those she touched.

Dear Norm, Dianne, Suzanne and Steve as well as Brad and family.
You have lost a special presence in your life. Ethel was a bright and shinning star and now lights up the heavens at night. She had a long and wonderful life and I am sure she would want you all to cherish the memories you made during her wonderful time on this earth. She was so proud of all of you.
Ethel .my Friend I will miss you and you will always hold a special place in my heart.
However I am not so sure I will be able to find forgiveness for you for ALWAYS beating me at crib.
Rest in peace my Friend
Love Joy, Jon and Brent
I am not so sure I will find
We are truly sorry for your loss. Ethel will be missed and she will never be forgotten, may her soul rest in peace.
I’m sorry to hear of your loss. I remember our last visit to your parents around 1967 or 68 when Dad (Bill Fader) had retired and we had moved to Kamloops. I recall our Moms were part of the “Three Ethels”…perhaps Ethel Benson was the third? Hope you have the same fond memories of growing up in the RCAF as my brother Rick and I do! Sorry for the loss of Bob and Ethel..
I remember them as fun and hospitable people who were always enjoyable to visit!
Brad, Diane and families,
So sad to read of Ethel’s passing. She could light up a room with her smile and the sparkle in her eye. 95 is a wonderful age but it never seems enough. My parents have many fond memories of sharing a house together “back in the day” 50’s I’m guessing in Calgary.
