We Remember
TANCOWNY, George “Stucco George”
April 20, 1950 — June 7, 2018
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our loving father on June 7th, 2018 at the age of 68. George was born on April 20th, 1950 in Lamont Alberta. He is survived by his daughters Destiny Berrington (Ben) of Kelowna, BC; Tiffany Tyson-Brown (Jay) of Kitchener, Ont; Shanys Tancowny (Edward) of Langley, BC; and Ashley Tancowny (Tim) of Fruitvale, BC; and Son Lance Tancowny of Kelowna, BC; grandchildren Jordan, Sterling, Zac, Kayla, Brandon, Julia, Brogan, Tyson, Dallas, Hadley and Georgia and numerous brothers and sisters. Predeceased by his father, John, and mother, Verna.
George started working at a young age in Fort McMurray, known as the “Master Plasterer” he continued his work until the day he passed. George loved to garden and to build things in his spare time (which was not too often) as he was always working. The love he showed to his children and grandchildren was unmeasurable; he was selfless. Always willing to help in any way he could. Everyone who knew him will remember him in their own way; he touched so many lives. He will live on in our hearts until we meet again. We love you dad, always and forever.
At George’s request, there will be no service. His children will be doing a celebration of life in August. Details to follow on Castanet. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Cancer Society or Lung Society.

“Loving memories last forever”
My hope is, is that those families and friends that feel the sadness of this loss, in due time experience also feeling’s of peace and comfort being in that every soul that transitions from this physical world, enters into a reality of greater joy, wonder, love and service, and that they are in fact happy to be where they are. Peace to you all May you find solace in this time of mourning and celebration. Jamen Zacharias
My heart is broken for Destiny, Shanys, Ashley, and Lance and his beautiful 8 grandchildren.
My brother was more than stucco George, he was the most amazing and loving, hard working man. I was blessed to spend time with him in August in Revelstoke and again to celebrate his birthday April 20th with his loving family.
I miss his smile and loving eyes. He lived for his family.
We will be together again George dancing with the birds and free in heaven, with our mom and dad.
Love your baby sister and Auntie Pat.
