We Remember
TASSONE, Salvatore Vittorio
—
Sam left us too soon on March 24, 2016 at the age of 68. He is survived by his loving wife Joanne Martha Tassone; son Chris Tassone of Hamilton, ON; grandchild Mackenzie Tassone of Oshawa, ON; his sister Carmen of Maple, ON; his brother Nick Tassone (Tina) of Maple, ON; Aunt Sara and family and daughter-in-law Maeva Livingston. Predeceased by his father Guiseppe Tassone and his mother Giovanna Purri Tassone. Sam was a loving and caring people person. He loved his music (Elvis, oldies and the Beatles) and the little band he had started in his teens. Sam loved to tell people his life stories and his many adventures he’d been on with family and friends. There wasn’t a person that didn’t like or love Sam, even total strangers! Love you Sam!

Our sincerest condolences Joanne for your loss. We remember the many happy times he came to the house to spend time with Uncle Domenic . Thinking of you during this very difficult time. God bless.
Very sorry to hear of your loss Joanne and family.
I have worked together for many many years with Sam at Lange transportation.
Sam always tormented me every time we spoke but I have always loved him as a “father”.
Love, Al Zammit (Ri-Go Lift Truck)
Dear Joanne,
We are truly sorry to hear that our cousin Sam passed so suddenly. As a little girl, I remember sitting in the stairwell watching his band practise. He was a truly talented musician. He used to spend a lot of time at our house back then as he shared a close relationship with my parents. Uncle Domenic had a special place in his heart reserved just for Sam. Aunt Sara is very sad but comforted to know that he loved his new home, surrounded by the beauty of mountains. May the love of family and friends comfort you during these difficult days, our most heartfelt condolences.
Your cousins, Victoria, Leny, Rebecca and Alessandra
Joanne, please accept my deepest condolences on the, much too early, passing of Sam. When I last spoke to him he was so excited about moving to B.C. when he stopped working. Sad to think he wasn’t able to appreciate living in B.C. for very long. Remember that he loved and looked out for you in life and you can be absolutely sure he is still doing the same now. He will be missed.
Dear Joanne,
know that you are in our hearts and in our prayers. We are all saddened by the loss of a beloved nephew and cousin. Sam will live on in your heart, and in your memories of him and will be with you always. He will be missed. With love, Aunt Sara and family.
What we have once enjoyed as neighbours we can never lose…All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.
Our friend Sam is and will remain a good neighbour and friend. To his family and friends our deepest condolences at this time.
Dale.

My deepest heartfelt condolences to the Tassone family. I had the pleasure of working with Sam at Lange for the past 13 years and I know that he will be dearly missed.
Joanne and the Tassone Family, we wish to express our deepest sympathy on your loss. Receiving that phone call from Joanne about Sam’s passing was truly unbelievable. I have many fond memories of Sam from over the 21 years that we have known each other. I remember his first day that he started working at Lange and his last day that we celebrated his retirement. I have attached a photo of Sam taken at his retirement lunch. He was so excited about retiring and looking forward to his next new journey of relaxing in B.C. We are truly saddened that he was not able. to enjoy the next best year’s. He will be remembered fondly. R.I.P.
Our deepest heartfelt condolences to the Tassone family. There are no words just broken hearts. Cousins Joe and Caterina.
I’m sorry to intrude. I found this sharing of love for Sam Tassone and wonder if he attended Central Commerce High School on Shaw St in Toronto. I met him when I was in grade 10. He was a bit older than me. I had a friend whom I lost touch with. He had a broken a for a long time and was a drummer. His friend James played guitar. I used to sing with him at his house on the second floor. If this is my friend, please email me. If not, this Sam sounds so much like him, I know how much everyone loves him and misses him dearly. Again, my apologies for intruding. Blessings to the Tassone Family.

Sam and I grew up together in downtown Toronto in the 1960’s. We were the best of friends. In fact, we were like brothers. We went everywhere in Toronto together including a trip in 1970 to the town he was born, Serra San Bruno, Italy. RIP my dear friend Sam.
