We Remember
TAYLOR, Käthe Katharina
—
Käthe Taylor passed away August 17, 2018 at the age of 92 years. She is survived by her loving family: daughter Jacqueline Iris Taylor of Summerland, BC; grandson Ryan John Wagstaff and wife Lisa; great granddaughter Devon Wagstaff; nieces, nephews in England and her partner of fifteen years Ed Kliner. Predeceased by her husband of 51 years, John Taylor.
Käthe was born in Kiel, Germany on May 24, 1926. Having survived the war, she met John Taylor during the occupation and the romance began. She moved to England with basically the clothes on her back and a pair of borrowed shoes. They were married in 1948 and had daughter Jacqueline in 1949. In 1957 they emigrated to Canada seeking a better life. Käthe and John worked hard and enjoyed 51 years together. She loved to entertain and was the consummate hostess. Käthe loved her garden and was a serious knitter. In the last 15 years, she has lived in Kelowna with her second love, Ed Kliner. They enjoyed travelling as much as they could and socializing with their many friends. She loved her grandson and great granddaughter so much and was always proud of them and their accomplishments. Käthe will be forever loved and extremely missed.
