We Remember
TEAL, Noelle Simone
July 13, 2002 — October 15, 2022
Without skipping a beat, on October 15, 2022, cherished daughter and deeply loved sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend, Noelle Teal, won her final race as she crossed the finish line through heaven’s gates into the loving arms of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Noelle was born on July 13, 2002, in Hamilton, Ontario. She was a most welcomed and long anticipated 2nd daughter to Chris and Miranda and precious baby sister to Charissa, and later an adored big sister to Kiana. She was born with a zest for life and spunk in her personality. Noelle loved life! From the time she could talk she asked, “why do we sleep? There’s too much to do!”. She packed everything she could into a day and never missed an opportunity for a new adventure.
Noelle was the Lord’s willing servant, and she took this very seriously. From a young age, she joined her church worship team and enriched all of our lives with her angelic voice. Noelle was active in her youth group and, through her mission trips, had deep growth in her love for the Lord. Most recently, this past summer, she travelled to the Yukon to share the gospel of Jesus at Watson Lake Kids Camp and deeply impacted many lives there. Her most treasured possession, her Bible, went with her everywhere she went, and served to be her guiding light and safe haven. What joy we can all share, knowing she is in glory and living her best life yet.
Noelle was intuitive, empathetic, and nonjudgmental. The Lord had given her a heart of compassion and grace, and from a very young age she used it to show God’s love to everyone she met. She loved everyone. And in return, everyone loved her. Noelle’s heart’s desire was for everyone to know Jesus like she did and to come alongside her in her most meaningful race. “And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” Hebrews 12:1-3
Yes! Noelle loved to race. She loved to be fast, and she loved to win! Noelle will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and racing community. She has won her final race and has received her most treasured reward, her crown of glory.
Left to grieve are her mom and dad, Chris and Miranda; and her two sisters: Charissa (22) and Kiana (15), grandparents: Gary & Shirley Teal and Bert & Nolda Hoekert, aunts and uncles: Dana & Jordan Gooderham, Claudia & Richard Aukema, Hendriette & Shawn Beswitherick, and JJ & Kim Hoekert, dear cousins: Maddison & Josiah Rizzo and Ashton & Rebecca Gooderham; Xander, Esme, & Emiel Aukema; Bianca, Ronan, & Shane Beswitherick; Jorja & Jolene Hoekert, special great aunt and uncle: Lori & Dave Ingrassia, and many friends.

We live one km from the crash site. My husband and I both ride motorbikes. This diminishing corner is extremely dangerous and we constantly see motorbikes having to use the oncoming lane to correct themselves. I am sickened that at that moment there was a truck in the opposite lane for Noelle. I am deeply saddened and so sorry for Noelle’s loss. It brings tears to my eyes driving past her memorial. Rest In Peace beautiful soul. May you, family and friends find strength and courage in the days ahead.
I am so sorry for your loss Chris & Miranda+family, may God give you grace in this trial.
Gerald

Dear Family, you don’t know me but I live in Kelowna and travel frequently on Westside Road. Although I wasn’t there the moment of Noelle’s accident I did pass by moments after. I found a place to pull over and prayed fervently for your daughter. I am saddened by your loss but celebrate with much joy of her beautiful relationship with Jesus. It has brought peace to my heart as I have thought about that day many times this past year. Much love in the Lord, Rosemary
