We Remember
TERAI, Teruyo “Linda”
—
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Linda Terai, after a long battle with cancer. She passed peacefully on October 15, 2017 at the Hospice House in Kelowna surrounded by her immediate family.
Linda lived a full life and was known to anyone who was fortunate to meet her as loving, kind, compassionate, and generous person. She made anyone who came to her home feel welcome and like family. She loved to cook, bake, volunteer, quilt, knit and sew. She also loved camping, golfing and going on weekend trips with friends to various casinos.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Isao; two sons: Mark (Anick) and Wayne (Corina); grandkids: Landon, Skylar, Kimiko and Kiyoshi; siblings: Nancy (Dick), Tom’s wife Beryl, Ted (Frances), Bing and Terumi (Kaz) and several nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, and cousins.
A memorial service honouring her life will be held at the Kelowna Buddhist Temple at 1089 Borden Avenue on October 19th, 2017 starting at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice Association, www.hospicecoha.org. My condolences to Linda’s family…having gone to school with Linda, Bing, Ted and Tom at George Pringle, it is sad to hear of the loss, happier times in photos can often help…am including a couple.
Many fond memories of Linda and Itanis’ as our neighbor growing up in Westbank. Lots of laughs and giggles, having a smoke and pop at the old Westbank cafe. My heart feels your loss.
Very sorry to hear of Linda’s passing. We were good neighbours on Tozer Crt
It always comes as a shock.
Isao and Family,
It is with sadness we heard of Linda’s passing. Our most sincere condolences to you and your family.

It is with great sadness that we send our condolences to Isao/family and the Itani family. We met Linda through mutual memorial services at the Kelowna Buddhist Temple but always found a warm, loving greeting from her and her family. May you find peace in Nirvana as you spread your love to our loved ones.

Isao, Mark, Wayne & Family,
It is with sadness we heard of Linda’s passing.
I have so many fond memories of our shared summers with your family. Linda gave my Mom much joy and support in their years working together. Mark & Wayne, the times babysitting you were such fun and I drew on those times when raising my boys. I hope you too will recall these wonderful memories when you think of Linda. Our most sincere condolences to you and your family.
