So sorry to read of your Mom’s passing Pat, but she lived a good, long, life. She always enjoyed what she could. Sad that we reconnect through obituaries, but I hope to see you at her celebration of life. It’s been a long time since the old dart leagues, but they were Gary’s favourite nights of the week.
Take care,
Wendy Holling
RIP Grandma you will be dearly missed
Love you forever ♥️♥️
Dave and I spent many years working along side Ruth with the Kelowna Search and Rescue. It is due to all her hard work and ability to get government grants that the volunteer group received so much of their equipment and thrived under her leadership. Everyone called her mom as she truly took care of everyone. Know that Ruth holds a special spot in our hearts, as she was a truly caring person.
I knew Ruth for close to 20 years. She and I became best friends through search and rescue. I always admired her for her honesty, integrity and her tough as nails demeanour. But, under that facade beat a heart of gold. We spent many hours together on numerous SAR tasks and it was here that I had the privilege of gaining the friendship of such a unique and special person. You will be missed.

Pat , Lori and Families- very saddened to hear of your mom’s passing. Spent many hours working with her in the Command Post on Search and Rescue call outs. I appreciated her knowledge and her ability to keep things organzied and on track.! No matter what time of day the calls came in or the miserable weather that was occuring we could count on Ruth to make sure the SAR members, RCMP and volunteers were cared for. The best part was that she always brought home made cookies to sustain the Troops!
May she rest in peace.
Just learned of her passing. Although it has been many years since we saw eachother she holds a special place in my heart. Knew her from SAR. Rest in peace Ruth❤
