Cherished son to Doug & Heather Thomson of Kelowna, BC and loving brother to Nicole Thomson, Ryan had a passion for enjoying the outdoors and playing soccer. His teammates and friends were extremely important in his life, he cherished them greatly.
The family appreciates the tremendous outpouring of support for us, and love for Ryan. He was an energetic young man with a positive outlook on life. His enthusiasm was contagious and raised the spirits of those around him. While Ryan will be missed greatly, we are so thankful for the time we had together.

Although I didn’t know Ryan that well, from the first driving lesson I had with him will be unforgettable as he had such an infectious personality that whoever he crossed paths with, he left a great memory for them as he did for me. Heather and Doug – We have been thinking of you since we heard the news. Our first memories of Ryan are when we met during swimming lessons at Parkinson when the boys were 4 years old. Even then you could see Ryan’s smile and his easy going nature. It seems like it was only just yesterday. Our hearts go out to you during this difficult time.
