We Remember

TILLOTSON, Barbara
—
It is with profound sadness that I announce the death of Barbara Jane Tillotson: my wife, my lover, my friend. Barbara’s brave journey through Alzheimer’s disease finally came to an end as she passed away peacefully at the Kelowna General Hospital on October 19, 2020, while I was at her side. Barbara was a deeply caring person with a true heart, beloved by her siblings, nieces and nephews. She will also be dearly missed by her extended family and friends, and the many co-workers who knew her when she worked at the William Roper Hull Home in Calgary. Barbara leaves to mourn her husband of 48 years, Don; and her sisters Beverly Newcombe and Kathy Newcombe; she was predeceased by her brother John Newcombe. The family will gather to honour her in the future, and she will be laid to rest in the family plot in Union Cemetery in Calgary, AB.

I am so sad to hear of Barb’s passing. I value sharing part of life’s journey with you both. Love and Hugs, Nora❤️
We have lost a wonderful aunt to a terrible disease. She passed way too early. She will be missed by my mother and her sister Bev, myself and my family. Don, she was so lucky to have you during her illness as your daily care and love was so unconditional. I hope you find peace in the way you were always there until the end. Please take care of yourself now, you deserve it! Love Shelly
I’m so sorry that Barbaras life was cut short by such a heartless disease. She was always part of my memories of childhood. Those are the ones I will keep in my heart. Don I am so sorry for this great loss in your life . Lots of good memories of you both.
