We Remember
TIMM, Kevin Ernest
December 29, 1971 — December 17, 2023
Kevin Ernest Timm, age 51, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away suddenly on December 17, 2023.
Kevin’s calm demeanour and easy-going manner were the cornerstones of his personality. Although he was a man of few words, his sharp sense of humour required only a few words to bring laughter to a room. Kevin was always willing to lend a hand to those who needed it, asking for nothing in return.
Kevin was born in Vernon, BC to Ernie and Annette Timm. He attended school in Vernon and upon graduation from high school, Kevin moved to Kelowna to study business at Okanagan College. During that time, Kevin met Candice and quickly won her heart with his boyish charm. They married in 1997 and established their roots, building a home in Lake Country; later returning to Vernon, and eventually moving to Kelowna. Kevin entered the petroleum industry after completing his education and continued in the field for the remainder of his career. Whatever the role, from inventory control to management, Kevin’s ability to relate to people and build relationships were always an asset. Beyond work, Kevin loved spending time in the outdoors, whether camping with Candice and Brendan at Beaver Lake, fishing, or enjoying time around the backyard pool. His family was his life, and Kevin was so proud to be a husband and father. Everyone who knew Kevin was aware of his life-long love of music and all things KISS (his memorabilia collection was one of Kevin’s treasures).
Kevin will be deeply missed by his wife of 26 years Candice; his son of whom he was so proud Brendan; his mother Annette; his brother Chris; sister-in-law Shannon (Gavin); brother-in-law Joshua (Stephanie); his nephews (Hatcher and Remy); and his many friends. Kevin was predeceased by his father Ernie in 2011.
A Celebration of life will take place on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 1pm, located at Springfield Funeral Home and anyone who knew Kevin is encouraged to attend.
If you are unable to attend in person, please join the family online by Livestream at the time of the service (see below), a recording will be made available to view shortly thereafter.
To honour Kevin’s love of animals, the family requests for those who wish, a contribution be made to Paws it Forward, a non-profit dog rescue.
