We Remember
TJ “Jay” SCOTT
January 28, 2010 — July 2, 2021
TJ “Jay” unexpectedly went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2021, at 11 years old. Jay’s big smile brightened the days of his family and community. His kindness lifted others. He was known for big hugs and an unstoppable giggle. Jay was a sports fan; he loved baseball and cheered for the Blue Jays and the Canucks. He was also up on the latest stats for both. If there was ever anything you wanted to know, or never knew you wanted to know, about baseball or hockey he would tell you! Since the day he was born, he’s brought so much joy to his Mum and Daddy.
Jay leaves behind a family that is brokenhearted, yet assured and at peace through their faith. He will be lovingly remembered by his parents: his father Chris (Melissa) Scott, and his mother Janine (Justin) Harnett; his brothers and sisters Sam, Tias, Saffron, Violet, Autumn, Toby, and Lucius. He will also be greatly missed by his grandparents Ian (Donna) Scott, Joanne Scott (Garry Hough), Dawn & Kim Meier, Darrell & Judy Harnett, and Diane Cairns; his great-grandparents Helen Bridger, Thomas Tutyko, Norm & Kay Scott, and Ann Unger; as well as by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held on MONDAY, JULY 5, 2021, AT 3:00 PM at St. Pius X Cathoilic Church. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held on SATURDAY, JULY 10, 2021, AT 10:30 AM at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1077 Fuller Ave, Kelowna, BC, with Father Gerald Sekanga presiding.
To honour Jay’s memory, donations may be made to the Canucks Autism Network, www.canucksautism.ca

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. There are no words that I can express to bring comfort to you but I know that you know that he is in good hands. I will remember him “speeding” through the daycare hallways with a big smile.
It’s those of you left here to deal with the heartbreak that I will pray the most for. You are a strong family but please don’t be afraid to reach out. Even for just a hug

I am so sorry
Jay was a great ball player
he made baseball a lot more fun for all of us
we will miss him and are so sorry for your loss
he was a wonderful boy that spread joy where ever he went
I am lucky to have known him
I got to know Jay this season with baseball. When I was the first base coach, Jay hit a ball that should have been just a single. I told him to hold up, but he went for it anyway (it turned out to be a home run). I asked him what happened, and with the biggest smile I had ever seen he apologized for not listening and said he was going to go for it every time. He was a good kid and in that moment, I knew he was larger than life. To Janine and family – no words can take away your pain, I am sorry for your loss. Please let me know if you ever need anything.
Our thoughts are with you. May you find comfort in all the wonderful memories you made with TJ as a family. We send our love and heart felt condolences.

My heart aches for all of you over the sudden loss of TJ. It has been some time since we have seen each other, but I still remember him as a spunky toddler from our days together at Willow Park. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
We are heartbroken to hear the news of the Jason’s passing. We are so sorry to hear this. We fondly remember Jason in Mrs. Marican’s class with Ty in Kamloops. Thinking of all of you, the Huston’s
My sincere condolences to your family. I just heard about this immense loss and feel for you. Jason will always be remembered as being the joy in our class, an incredible athlete, kind friend to all, respectful young student, and diligent worker. Oh… the adventures we had in our Montessori class. His stories every morning made me smile and I always looked forward to our parent/teacher visits to spend time with all of you to celebrate his accomplishments. My sweet former student, Jason… Mrs. Marican misses you!
