We Remember
TODD, Mary
January 1, 1970 — January 1, 1970
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Mary Todd on March 13, 2017. Mom was born in 1934 and grew up near Prince George, BC. There she met a handsome young RCMP recruit, Donald Todd, and the two were married in 1954. Three daughters and a law degree later, they were settled in Regina, SK, where Dad practiced law for the remainder of his life. Mom was a fabulous homemaker and cook. Her caring nature and earthy sense of humour were enjoyed by a wide circle of friends and family, as were her renowned cinnamon buns. Predeceased by her husband and her brother Jerry, Mom leaves behind three daughters as well as three grandchildren, Jimmy, Andrea, and Matthew, who loved her dearly for her caring and fun-loving nature, and of whom she was so very proud. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and her sister Victoria Harnett. We would like to thank Dr. Rachel Carver, the staff of Sunpointe Village, and especially those in the Belgo Community for their exceptional care and kind treatment of our mother. They made the last years of her life safe and happy ones.
The three of us, Susan (Jim) McLeod, Cheryl (Keith) Prestage, and Cathy (Rudy) Heymen, have become the people our parents shaped us to be. We were raised to embrace honesty, integrity, and hard work, and for that we are ever grateful. We will miss you, Mom; you were the best.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

We are so sorry to learn of your Mom’s passing and extend our deepest sympathy to you and all your families.
Allot of water “has passed under the bridge” since we last got together, however we will always have fond memories of times together on Falcon Bay.
Best regards to you all.

Tony and I are saddened by Mary’s passing. We have all good memories of your mother and father.
To Cathy, Cheryl, Susan and all. Your parents and home are a warm part of my own story. I remember that your mom loved telling and hearing stories, for example, her working as a secretary before she was married to “Mr. Todd”– and I loved how she would always refer to your father as Mr. Todd when speaking to me, even well into my 20’s. She was so very kind and always found something to compliment one on. This news of your mom’s passing makes me think of your dad, and how grateful I am to have been at his memorial. I am sure that your send off for your mom will be a moving tribute as well. My love to you all, Marin.
