We Remember
TRUDEAU, Raymond
December 26, 1942 — March 5, 2024
Ray Trudeau passed away on March 5, 2024, following a courageous battle with cancer. He cherished his role as a loving partner to Valerie and held significant roles as a son, father, brother, uncle, and friend.
Ray shared an inseparable bond with Val, engaging in shared interests such as sports, particularly baseball and golf. Their life together was enriched with cooking experiments, travel adventures, beach picnics, golf outings, sports watching, and cherished date nights every weekend. Ray also enjoyed socializing with his buddies, often participating in bowling and golf activities. Not only that, he loved to play cribbage and cherished the joy of lively games with his buddies, but nothing could compare to the warmth he felt during his birthday surprise dinner, lovingly hosted by Valerie and surrounded by dear friends and family. Val remained faithfully by his side until the end.
Preceded in death by his mother Lillian; his father, Lucien; his son, Shawn; and his brother, Bernie; Ray is survived by his fiancée, Val; daughter Janine; brothers Paul, Vic, Mark, and Eddie; and sister Lorraine. He will be deeply missed by Valerie, his family, numerous friends, and colleagues.
Ray held strong Christian beliefs and expressed a desire to reunite with God, a sentiment he shared with nursing staff, his doctor, Valerie, Janine, and close friends.

I’m in shock. Just this Valentines 2024, we went to dinner at Bernie’s on Bernard Avenue. We had a good time . Ray had salmon and I had lamb. We had champagne before the meal. We had a great life together. …sports watching, playing golf, enjoying curling and baseball on tv, picnicing at various beaches, experimenting with cooking, driving on excursions, travelling. We made friends in Mexico ( people from the States). Everyone loved Raymond. He made a lot of people happy. God told him that as he had a moment with God. Everyone Raymond met wanted to be his friend. I miss him terribly but I would not take the experience of Heaven away from him.God loves Raymond. And He took him out of pain forever. I know Raymond is waiting for me because he said so. He is reunited with his mom and Dad and other relatives and friends. I trusted Raymond Ray very much and I believed Raymond. My whole family loved him so much and we went to see them every summer. I know I’ll see Raymond again in Heaven.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences Val
Ray was a special guy with a kind and gentle nature. He was one of the 1st people I met when I became a MacDonald Realtor. He was always generous with his time and assistance and I enjoyed his wicked sense of humor. He was the glue of that office.
Take a bow and a well deserved Rest my Friend

We are deeply saddened to hear of Ray’s passing. We met Ray soon after we moved into Maple Keyes. He always had a smile on his face and always checked up on us to see how we were doing.. He was working on the board at Maple Keyes right up until the end- and we were so grateful for his help. We are sending our condolences to Valerie and the family. We will watch the live stream from Mexico as we won’t be home yet. Sending hugs. Ed and Marilyn Breitkreutz
This is one of my favourite pictures of Ray. See how relaxed he is? He always made me feel relaxed too, because he was so accepting of others, and had a “let’s have fun” attitude to life in general. I’m imagining him, at this moment, with his feet up, taking it easy. Wishing you eternal peace, Ray! Val, I wish you comfort and strength, and much love from family and friends.
My deepest condolences to Valerie and Ray’s family.
Rest well Raymond, may God bless.
My condolences to Valerie and family.. Rest in peace Ray.
