We Remember
TUCKER, Audrey
October 5, 1931 — June 24, 2023
Audrey passed away peacefully on June 24, 2023, at the age of 91. She was born and raised in Verdun, Quebec.
Left to treasure her memory is her husband of 69 years, Cliff Tucker, cherished children: Debbie Tucker (Andy), Jeff Tucker (Laura), and Wendy Purcer (Tim), her many beloved grandchildren and her sister Carol Kroschel. She was predeceased by her brother Ron Nurse and sister-in-law Norma James. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Some of the many things that Audrey will be remembered for were her kindness, the importance of each of her relationships, and how she treated everyone the same. She was dedicated to loving her family & friends with everything she had.
Audrey’s early career found her as a stenographer at Bell Telephone and at Sears once we moved to St. Catharines. Her love of the outdoors and athletic talents led her to become a horseback rider, lifeguard, ski patrol, curler, tennis player, sailor, hiker, and camper. She also loved dancing, choir and fitness class. She was a brownie leader and enjoyed volunteering.
Tidy and efficient, Audrey was a great homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and cross-stitch. A wonderful baker and cook, she loved having family and friends over for meals and special treats or roller-blading a fresh loaf of bread to her tennis community in Florida. Most of all, Audrey knew how to make a house a home.
Thank you to 4E staff at KGH, especially Lisa and Molly, as well as the staff at Hospice House. We were so touched by your love and care for Mom.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Audrey can be made to Kelowna General Hospital (KGH Foundation), Central Okanagan Hospice Association (COHA), or a charity of your choice.

Audrey and I first met in fitness class at the Water St centre a bunch of years ago. She had the gift of making a stranger into a friend within minutes of conversation, and those conversations were always animated and interesting. Just thinking of Audrey now makes me smile. She was a true people person who led such a rich and interesting life. Your family and all of Audrey’s friends have lost a gem of a woman, Sincere condolences to Cliff and family.

Sending deepest condolences to Cliff and the entire family on the loss of such a wonderful woman. You were all deeply blessed to have her to call wife, mother, grandmother, sister, friend. May she rest in peace.
Thinking of you all at this time and remembering our years together in the Heights. My first memory is the warm buns she would bake and have ready for us after school with the home made jam to top them off. You couldn’t eat just one! Always sweets and treats in your kitchen. Sending ❤️
I had the great pleasure of babysitting the Tucker children and I will always remember when taking the kids up to bed she would always say “okay kids let’s climb the wooden hill” As to her baking prowess her moist chocolate with white butter icing and melted bakers chocolate over the top was my favourite. We will miss you.
My deepest sympathies to Cliff and the family. What a wonderful lady, always so happy and cheerful to see you, and how she showered her family with love and support. Special hugs to my long time dear friend Wendy, how she loved her Mom and was filled with the same grace. May the wonderful memories that you will cherish forever, and God’s grace help you through this time of grief..
Such a beautiful tribute for an awesome lady!! Exactly how I would describe you Wendy!❤️🥰
Always, always enjoyed my visits with Auntie Aud. She was a warm link to the past and interested in the present.
My love to all the Tuckers – how fortunate you all were to have such a wonderful Mom/wife, and I’m sure you will miss her terribly.
I never met your beautiful mother, but I got to know her through your loving connection with her. As I read about your mom, I see all those qualities in you, Wendy, so I know she was a loving and outstanding woman.. I know you will miss her deeply, and I am so sad for your dad, as he will be lost without her. Your mom has left a powerful and beautiful legacy, which I know you will continue to live out. I love the way you loved your mom, it was a beautiful thing to observe. My deepest and most sincere condolences for you, Tim and the family. Heidi
So sorry for your lost. I remember going to visit her with my Mom Isabel when I would go to Chateauguay.
My condolences to the loss of your wife and mother. When I moved to Sandalwood 6 years ago, Audrey was the first person I met. We had a walk that evening around the building and had such a lovely chat. We lived in the same wing and she always had a warm smile and nice conversation when we would meet. Anytime we got together for dinner the conversation was lively as my friend, Terry, came from the same place in Ontario (or maybe it was Quebec) and they enjoyed reminiscing!! She was a beautiful lady inside and out and I miss her!!
