We Remember
TYMCHEN, Stanley Donald “Don”
February 29, 1940 — July 4, 2024
Don Tymchen, age 84, passed away on July 4, 2024, in Kelowna, BC. Born in Mair, Saskatchewan, Don lived across the prairies and western Canada, enjoying nature and creativity.
Don was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Jean Tymchen and his wife Lois. In life, everyone has a soulmate, and Don and Lois were exactly that to each other.
Don leaves behind his children Donna, Joe, Correna, and Maxine; brother Joey; sister-in-law Lorraine; brother-in-law Henry; sister-in-law Lorna; and his grandchildren, a great-grandson; nieces, nephews; as well as his friends.
Don’s passions were varied; he was an avid fisherman and boat builder, a lover of music (particularly the fiddle), and he had a fondness for nature through farming and beekeeping. Professionally, Don was a skilled pressure welder, a testament to his hardworking and detail-oriented nature. As we remember him, we are reminded to pursue our passions. Don will be missed but forever celebrated.

Maxine, my condolences to you and your family. Your dad sounds like a fascinating guy, with quite the twinkle in his eyes.
So sorry to hear of Don’s passing. I met him thru’ my brother-in-law Ron Hanuschak with the fiddler group. Such a personable man. Deepest sympathy to all his children, family and friends especially “Elaine”. Gail Kotowich from Selkirk Manitoba (north of Winnipeg)
