Dear Mary and family, We are so very sad to hear of Lorne passing away. The last time we saw him he looked so great and his usual friendly smile and talks. That is how we will always remember him. We hope he went peacefully and did not suffer through his cancer. Our thoughts are with you Mary, and family through this very sad time. We are both away until March so we are sorry we will not be able to attend Lorne’s memorial but our hearts are with you. We will always hang onto great memories of Lorne. Love Pierre and Janie
Mary and family…we were very surprised and saddened to read about Lorne’s passing this morning and it was certainly the farthest thing from our minds as we had a very nice visit with you just a year ago.. As you know Lorne and I were great friends and spent many hours together during Yacht Club activities and enjoyed our many trips to Big White. Lorne was always a ball of fire and a pleasure to be around. We wish you comfort as you and the family get through the next few days and months of healing and our sincere condolences go out to you and all family and relatives…sincerely,, Jack and Edie

Fred and I met Lorne and Mary just after moving into Sun Village in 2013. We met through the Waterways Committee, the legion, and also helping at the Dutch Pavilion during the S.V. 20th Anniversary. We always enjoyed Lorne and Mary’s company, stories of their past lives in Holland, Alberta and British Columbia. Lorne had a fantastic memory for detail. He will be missed very much by us. Our Condolences to Mary, Sons and Daughter and Grandchildren. Fred and Isobel Strelieff
