So very sorry to hear about Pieter- He will always be remembered as a kind devoted man, and a smile from ear to ear. I was hoping to see him before we moved too Grand Forks but didn’t get the chance. May you find comfort in your memories and strength from his love for all of you. Glad I had the privileged, of knowing him, and missed the times I spent with him and his wife. Blessings to each of you
Dear Teena,
Pete’s smile brought back so many memories when I saw it today, Teena! I always remember so much laughter with you & Pete when you & I worked together at the Totem Inn. I can’t believe you were married for 64 years…what great memories you will have & how much you are going to miss him. We both send our best to you and ‘the kids’.
With big hugs, Jennifer & Gary
Tante Tini, George & Terri, Margarett and Families,
So sorry to hear about Oom Pete. I remember lots of laughter, good coffee & speculaas cookies and stories about Holland and our families.
I loved Oom Pete’s smile and remember the 1967 Centennial Days’ celebration where my dad, Arne Oltmanns, and Oom Pete had the best beards you can imagine for the Beard Growing Contest. They were very bushy!!! I know that you will remember the good times and what a hard worker Pete was. Your parents’ house and yard were beautiful, when you lived on 12th street and then later on Blue Waters! Tot Ziens! Love from the Oltmanns’ Families.
I am sorry to hear of your loss. I will be thinking of you as you go through this difficult time.
Sorry I will not be able to pay my respects as I am in Atlanta Georgia.
Please pass on my condolences to your Mother.
Marjorie
We met as neighbours in 2001, and appreciate Tina and Peter as great neighbours. The tasty peaches we enjoyed from his tree were looked foreword to ever summer. We enjoyed them dancing on the deck to music.
All the best to Margarett and George. Jim and Britt (Rhondda Crescent)
