She is survived by her children Thelma, Barbara, Howard, Stanley, Russell, Norman, Carol, Marlo, Karen, & Glenda; 25 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; along with her two sisters.

Irene met and married her husband Harry in 1945; they farmed together in Morinville, AB for a few years before they moved to the hamlet of Dapp, AB. Then in 1967, they moved to Westbank, BC and ran an orchard until retirement. In 2007, Irene moved to Comox to be closer to her family.

A loving and patient parent and grandmother, Irene is remembered for her cookie jar because she always kept it full! Her children hold her lovingly in their hearts.

Till we meet again, all our love.
