Vickers, Lyle
October 19, 1933 — November 11, 2011
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lyle at his home with his family by his side on November 11, 2011. Lyle was born on October 19, 1933 in Bredenbury, Saskatchewan. He is survived by his loving family, his wife Mary of 52 years, son Lee, brothers-in-law John and Peter Punak, nephews Brad, Alan & Ryan, niece Sherry, his brother Orval (Gwen) and their family and his cousins in Kelowna, Kamloops and Calgary. He will be missed and fondly remembered by his life long friend of 60 years Roy McLean and his wife Anthea. In his early years Lyle was an employee of Manitoba Hydro and BC Railway as a brakeman. In 1956 was the start of his career with the telephone industry until he retired in 1993. In retirement he enjoyed his many hobbies, one of which was photography. Lyle enjoyed his home and being with his family. He will be sadly missed. A celebration of his life will be held for family and friends at his home. Interment at a later date.
