We Remember
VIDOTTO, Luigino (Louis)
—
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband, grandpa and great-grandpa, Luigino Vidotto, whom many knew as Louis. He passed away at Kelowna General Hospital on March 3, 2016 at the age of 89 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Iolanda, to whom he was married for 67 years; his children, Gianni (Rosanne) and Naida; his grandchildren, Kristopher (Mya), Jeremy (Angie) and Luke; and his great-grandchild Troy Lang.
Luigino was born in Treviso, Italy on February 3, 1927. He immigrated to Canada in 1952 where he was a skilled pipefitter, and respected realtor and business man for sixty-four years. Having lived in Prince Rupert, Prince George and Kelowna, he was well regarded by everyone, and in everything that he did. During his retirement he was an active soccer coach, a joyful singer and an enthusiastic member of both the Alpini club and the Italo-Canadian club.
He was ambitious, courageous and strong of character; never complained; was devoted to his wife and family, and lived life to the fullest. We will miss him greatly.
A funeral service and mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on March 12th at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1077 Fuller Avenue, Kelowna, B.C. Interment will follow at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. St. Pius X Church,
My sincere condolences with the passing of Louis.
I worked with Louis during his soccer coaching and his participation on the Kelowna Youth Soccer Club. He so enjoyed coaching the boys. And he was always so happy when his team scored.
I will remember him fondly as a very nice person who always had his soccer heart in the right place

Having played soccor and being a neighbor of the Lang family many years ago, I was blessed to have met Mr Vidotto. I’ll always remember his passion for life and his bright smile. May you rest in peace.
Our deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of Louis. We recall him picking up the boys for soccer when we first moved back to Mountain Ave. We will always have fond memories of him.
sincerely,
Stan & Em Grimson
