We Remember
VIGAR, Lynn Joann
—
With great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce Lynn passed away suddenly on May 7, 2022, in Kelowna General Hospital.
Lynn Joann Vigar was an exceptional person, and she was loved very much! She was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, and grandma with a smile that lit up a room. Lynn loved her kids and grandkids, she loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, she enjoyed seeing them change as they grew.
Lynn was also a wonderful, caring teacher who loved to encourage that desire to learn. She is known to have always had a shoulder to cry or laugh on, she was always there for whomever and whatever was required.
She will be missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to a charity of your choice in Lynn’s name.
The family has chosen to celebrate her life privately.

To Lynn’s family, I am truly sorry for your loss. As we retired DWE ladies were about to gather for Lee’s Tea party this spring I received the news of Lynn’s passing and was deeply saddened. Lee brought her lovely presence to the table via her photograph, and as we gathered around the table we shared our precious memories of working with Lynn in various schools over the years. Her kind, gentle and creative ways of working with children brought out the best in them, because I think she could see only their strengths and talents that could be nurtured with the right kind of encouragement. I loved visiting with Lynn at our tea and will miss her dearly. My deepest sympathy is with you and all her friends and families.

I was deeply saddened today when I heard about the passing of a very special person and my former colleague. Lynn will be forever in my heart, she was my teaching partner at South Kelowna School for a number of years. She was always there to give a helping hand to everyone. Her kindness was infectious. Even though our paths did not cross over the last few years, the love and respect has never disappeared. I will always cherish the good times that we shared together.
