Dear Jenna and Brendan,
My heart goes out to you and your family at this most difficult time. As you are aware I knew your father Doug when you all lived in Terrace. One summer Doug tutored my daughter in math. He came to our house and was a great help to her. She enjoyed him and his ability to make it fun and easy. He was a gifted teacher.
He had good social skills and was well liked. I am so saddened by his departing. May you forever remember his love for you and the many positive attributes that he had.
Much love

I had the honour of being a friend to Doug in High School and we reconnected on Facebook. His words of wisdom and inspiration touched my heart forever.
My condolences to Doug’s family.
To Doug’s parents and his family, Allister and I wish to extend our deepest sympathy but to also let you know that we thought very highly of Doug. The last time we actually saw Doug was at our daughter Tammy’s and Craig’s wedding. I can still picture his handsome face and infectious smile. In our last conversation, he was witty and vibrant and that is how we will forever remember Him. I stayed in touch with Doug via FB. I believe his gentle soul has been set free from this life of toil and he now soars with the angels above.
