We Remember
VOGELGESANG, Lillian Marian
June 26, 1943 — October 19, 2021
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Kelowna, British Columbia
On 19 October 2021, Lillian Marian Vogelgesang of Kelowna passed away at 78 years old. She was a talkative, humorous, loving, and caring person. She never wanted to celebrate birthdays and always made her age anonymous to others, as age never mattered to her. Lillian was a hardworking, strong woman, always having things organized and open arms to help others. Born in Saskatoon, where she was raised by her mother, Cecilia, and father, John Vogelgesang. Her family moved out to the Okanagan in 1967, and she moved out the year later in 1968. She worked many jobs, but her favourite career was taking care of children at her home daycare for about 15 years. She survived breast cancer in 2006. She had one daughter, Jamie-Lee Woolley, and two granddaughters, Devon and Lauren. She will be missed and forever loved by her husband, Roy Facklam; her son-in-law Michael Woolley; her two granddaughters; her cousin Helen; sister Barb Martindale; and many cousins.
