We Remember
VOGELSANG, Kitt Allan
—
Loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away with his wife of over 40 years by his side on April 20th, 2018 in his 62nd year. After a long battle with health complications arising from Diabetes he is finally at peace. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan he moved to Kelowna in his teenage years and immediately set down roots, marrying the love of his life Diana and raising one son, Dean. He would never let a conversation end without expressing how truly proud he was of his son and his two grandchildren Zander and Nathan. Always taking a deep interest in his son’s activities growing up, he selflessly volunteered his time and energy, first with the Junior Forest Wardens and then with the Royal Canadian Air Cadets. He was also proud to have been involved in the Central Okanagan Brain Injury Society during its formative years, having promoted brain injury prevention and support to those affected by it. Kitt’s family wish to extend sincere thanks to all of the health care professionals and the staff at Interior Health and Bayshore Home Health who provided ongoing care for him in his later years. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Diabetes Canada.

Diana, I was sorry to hear of Kitt’s passing and wish to pass on my condolences to you and your family. Kitt was a real character and definitely one of a kind. I always enjoyed our meetings and I think I learned a lot more about life from Kitt than he ever did from me.

Dean and Diana-My heartfelt sympathy to both of you. I fondly remember you, Dean, as an “outstanding” student with very supportive parents! Now I see you have 2 little boys. I am sure Kit will watch over them as they grow up. Take care. I just lost my dear Mom-age 93 and know how hard grieving is. Enjoy the memories and hold each other close!
