We Remember
WADE, Norma Davidson
—
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, and friend Norma Davidson Wade on Friday, July 31 2015. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ronald Wade as well as her parents Margaret and William McKenzie and brother Noel McKenzie. Norma is survived by her daughter Lisa Anne Wade, her son Gary Wade, husband of Dannica Wade-Stevenson, her grandchildren Talon, Myah and Tatum, her sister Marnie Todd of Belfast, Northern Ireland, and her daughters Norma and Gillian.
Norma was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland and upon completion of nursing school travelled to Nairobi, Kenya where she began her career as a nurse. After marrying in Nairobi, Ron and Norma landed in Kelowna, B.C. and she began a long career as a nurse at Kelowna General Hospital.
The tremendous sense of loss that we feel will be a constant reminder of how deeply Norma touched both friends and family. The sadness that we feel will soon be replaced by smiles when we reflect on the footprint Norma left on this earth.
“May you always have walls for the winds,
A roof for the rain,
Tea beside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
Those you love near you and all your heart may desire.”
Gone but never forgotten. Live like Norma.
An open house Celebration of Life will be held for Norma on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at 5757 Mountainside Drive, Kelowna B.C. I am very sorry for your family’s loss. Our quilting group has many happy memories of time spent together.

Condolence to your family. I worked with Norma for many years at KGH. She was always very caring, competent, always had a smile and a cheerful attitude – a joy to work with
Condolences to Norma’s family. I remember Norma as an Emerg RN who was always grounded and had a great sense of humour. I enjoyed our chats and her advice. Our chats continued after she retired as I walked past her house on lunch time walks. A great lady.
My wife and I will always remember how special your mother was. We were neighbors in Summerville Corner and I did some chores for your Mum every now and then. She would go for her morning walks and we would get some new places for her to talk about on our visit to Ireland, we will miss her dearly.

I first met Norma in June of 1972 when I worked as an Emergency physician at KGH. I remember her as a kind , soft spoken excellent nurse who ,along with her colleagues, taught me how to be compassionate and helped me to look after patients in her special way. My condolences to all her family and I will try to make to her service.
It was with deep sadness that I read of Norma’s passing this morning! I first met Norma on April 25th 2006. Over the years her stories of family and travels with her sister each year have been the source of many conversations. Norma always had a smile and a word of encouragement and always was concerned about the health and welfare of my family! I last saw her on April 16th of this year when she showed me the lump she was concerned about on her neck. She had not received her pathology report back yet and I told her I would be praying for her. When she left my home she was joking about that lovely new car she loved driving and how she was afraid she was going to get a ticket because the cops were going to notice her car 😉 How I will miss our visits. I am thankful for the times we spent together over the years. I will fondly remember that sweet accent and the tender woman she was. Please accept my deepest of sympathies on your loss.
Norma gave back to the community unselfishly. She was a great nurse but also a great person to know. Loved her family, loved her community & friends. A loss to all that knew her.
It was with extreme sadness I learned of Norma’s passing. She was a faithful member of St. Paul’s United Church and it was always a pleasure to chat with her Sunday mornings. This spring she was a vital part of our group bible study – she was a sincere, caring lady who will be dearly missed.
My sincere condolences ,a Very special lady,
Sue and I give our sincere condolences to Family & Friends. Norma was a great Neighbour, always had a smile for you and something nice to say. You will be missed.
