We Remember

WAGNER, Jackson Donald

July 8, 2001 — September 14, 2025

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Jackson Donald Wagner on September 14th, 2025, at the age of 24 in Kelowna, BC. Jackson’s passing has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his family, friends, and all that knew him.

Jackson is deeply mourned by his Mom and Dad, Candace (Stephen) Juch and Kurt (Michelle) Wagner; his sister Daelyn; step siblings Aiden, Jordan, Meredythe, and Nathan; his Grandma and Grandpa, Dale and Heather Pilling; his Uncle Brad (Tara) Pilling; and his cousins, Nia and Charlie Wagner, and Kingston and Maya Pilling. He is also reunited with those who predeceased him, including his Grandmother Sandra, Grandfather Don, and Uncle Keith Wagner.

Born on July 8, 2001, Jackson’s vibrant personality and infectious energy lit up every room he entered. Family and friends affectionately called him “AJ-Action Jackson” and “Jovial Jackson”—a reflection of his humour, warmth, and the joy he brought into people’s lives. He was known not only for his kindness and care that extended well beyond laughter, but also for his unforgettable bear hugs and the way he showed up as a loyal, caring friend. Jackson loved deeply and genuinely, and those fortunate enough to know him felt that love in countless ways.

Jackson’s adventurous spirit, love of the outdoors, and joy in spending time with his family and friends were at the heart of his life. Whether playing hockey, snowboarding, dirt biking, golfing, scootering, camping, or fishing at the family’s cabin at Loon Lake, he embraced every moment. Time at Grandma and Grandpa’s beach and on the lake—swimming, wakeboarding, and boating—was especially dear to him.

He also took immense pride in his professional life, working with the City of Kelowna’s Roads Department for three years. Jackson’s dedication, work ethic and enthusiasm reflected how much he valued his coworkers and his role.

Jackson treasured his time with his family—whether attending a Rolling Stones concert with his Dad, travelling with his Mom and Sister, embarking on one of his Mother-Son adventures, spending time with his Grandmas and Grandpas, laughing with his Uncles and Cousins, or goofing around with his Sister and Step-Siblings. These experiences, filled with love, laughter, and connection, are cherished memories that will be held close to their hearts forever.

With his infectious spirit, Jackson was the kind of friend who made life brighter, and the connections he created will never be forgotten. He found joy in everything he did, always seeking ways to make every moment entertaining. Jackson will be remembered for his love, kindness, those incredible hugs, and his fun-loving, adventurous soul. His time with us was a gift we will always cherish, and his passing leaves an ache in the hearts of all who loved him.

Family and friends are invited to gather in Jackson’s honour—to celebrate his life and share memories—on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 10TH, 2025, AT 1:00 P.M. AT THE LAUREL PACKING HOUSE, 1304 ELLIS ST, KELOWNA, BC. If you have photos you’d like to share, please feel free to upload them to the following link: Jackson Wagner Photos.
