We Remember

WAKELY, Joshua Tyler

Joshua Tyler Wakely, 40, of Lake Country BC, passed away tragically and very suddenly at Kelowna General Hospital surrounded by loved ones on March 2, 2020.

Josh was a loving husband, proud father, a son, a brother, an uncle, and a friend to everyone. He was one of the most humble and happy-go-lucky people around, with legendary sideburns and an infectious smile that would light up any room he walked into.

Josh was a B-pressure welder, extremely passionate about pipelining and got to meet the love of his life in Buckinghorse, BC (2014) doing his favourite thing – welding. In 2017, Josh couldn’t have been any prouder to welcome his baby boy, Mason, to the world.

Josh got to live his passion for over 20 years, welding pipelines all over BC and AB.  When Josh wasn’t out of town working, he spent his time loving his family and exploring the valley – camping, fishing, hiking, or trying his luck at gold panning.

Josh was truly unforgettable and had a unique way of making everyone feel special, like you were the only one in the room. He will be forever missed by his wife Britney and son Mason; father Clint; mother Brenda;  two brothers, Seth and Adam; parents-in-law Shaune and Terry; brothers- and sisters-in-law; and his many nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his beloved dog, Lincoln.
