We Remember
WALKER, John Donald
June 24, 1932 — October 9, 2023
John was born in Windsor, Ontario, where he grew up around horses and loved fixing things. He eventually became a mechanic and gas station owner, after serving in the Navy in the Korean War. John moved his family to Kelowna in 1970, where he became involved in the real estate industry till his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and was probably addicted to golfing, as many will attest at the Kelowna Golf and Country Club where he was a member for over three decades.
John passed away peacefully on October 9, 2023, with several family members present. He leaves behind his beloved wife Patricia; children Garth, Scott, Leann (Owenson), and Kim (Naka); 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
At John’s request, the family will celebrate his life privately.
Thank you to all those who were such a support to the family in John’s final days, especially the staff at Villiage at Mill Creek retirement home.

Pat and family,
I am so sorry to have read the loss of John. I was his house keeper at the village and when I left there for new adventures I often always thought of him and Pat. I have lots of memories and laughs that we shared and will forever remember. I am sending you all HUGZ and please please GUG Pat extra from me. Fly free angel and watch over all who love you.
