We Remember
WATT, Loretta Gail
April 5, 1931 — September 2, 2023
It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Loretta “Gail” Watt, who passed away peacefully on September 2, 2023, in Kelowna, British Columbia, at the age of 92.
Gail was an independent and vibrant woman, who made an everlasting mark on many. She was known for her dedicated work at the Legion over many years, and her notable part in the Ladies Auxiliary. Gail enjoyed riding her scooter, spending time outside at Ben Lee park, doing word puzzles, and watching soap operas on television.
Those left to treasure her memory are her children, David (Therese) Watt and Loretta (Ron) Skopyk; grandchildren Erickia (Mike), Kory (Maude), Ken, and Randy; great-grandchildren Ireland, Adelin, Lex, Emme, Charlee, Saffi, Leif, and Morgan. She is also remembered by her brother Ron (Colleen) Harnden; brother-in-law Andy Anderson; as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends across the community. Gail goes to join her husband, Eric Watt, who passed before her in 1967; sister June Anderson; and parents Hazel and Harold Harnden.
A Celebration of Life will be held to honour Gail on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 1:00 PM, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 139, 385 Barnard Street, Williams Lake, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Cancer Agency.
