We Remember

WEDMANN, Helma (Giesbrecht)

On Friday, December 6, 2013, with her daughters Christel Kolke (Heinz) and Ursula Wedmann by her side, Helma Wedmann went to be with her Lord Jesus.

Helma was born on May 26, 1928 in Topcza, Ukraine. She immigrated to Winnipeg in 1951 and married Senon Wedmann in 1952. Helma and Senon retired to Kelowna in 1981. Senon passed away in 1996.

A celebration of Helma’s life and home-going will be held on Friday, December 13 at 11:00 am at Kelowna Gospel Fellowship Church, Gordon and Casorso Road. A luncheon will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Helma’s honour to Samaritan’s Purse www.samaritanspurse.ca or the ALS Society of Canada www.als.ca.  If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”
