We Remember
WHITNEY, Eunice Edith
—
In loving memory of Eunice Edith Whitney who passed away on March 13, 2021, at the age of 102.
Eunice was married to husband, Victor Whitney, in 1937 and had 4 children. Victor passed in 1998 and she never remarried. She was loved by all that met her and was kind and gentle to everyone. She loved having people over for dinners and was an excellent cook; she made the best desserts and always added a pinch of love. She was a homemaker, but in her spare time she would travel to many places around the world with her sister Victoria, holidays with her daughter and grandchildren, and going to visit family. She loved to travel and have new adventures.
As she got older, she enjoyed going out to eat, she liked her french fries, and always enjoyed going to eat at Gord and Diane’s for their awesome dinners. You could even spot her in the casino from time to time. She was always there for her grandchildren, and went to every event, and enjoyed visits with her great-grandchildren. She enjoyed being with her best friends Mary and Clara. She had so many special people in her life, too many to name, but some were Les & Corrine, Barry, Owen, Colten, Christa, and Jenna, the rest know who you are; thank you for loving her.
Thank you to the nurses and doctors on 4 east at the hospital and at the hospice house for your good care and kindness.
Enjoy your journey Mom, you were the best. We will always love you.
Eunice is survived by her sons Victor (Evelyn) and Gary (Ingrid); daughter Louise (Jake); many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews, and friends. She has gone to join her husband Victor and daughter Marlene, as well as her 6 siblings whom she loved dearly.
