We Remember

Williamson, Brent

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Brent Williamson at the age of 51, after a courageous fight with cancer.  Brent was born and raised in Nanaimo, BC with his 3 brothers and his sister.  Brent met and married the love of his life Gail (Dunlop) and had 3 children Lesley, Mark, and Tannis. He took great pride in his work as a highways electrician and the friendships of the Westcana crew.  Brent enjoyed hiking with Gail and friends, skiing, boating, golfing (especially the annual boy’s trip) and travelling with his family.  Brent could often be found tinkering around the house as he took great pride in keeping things in good working order. Brent was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed by those who were blessed by his quiet companionship. We welcome family and friends to gather on Saturday, Feb 4, 2012 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the Kelowna Golf & Country Club, 1297 Glenmore Drive.  In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Kelowna General Hospital Foundation.

We just wanted you to know how sorry we are for your loss. There is nothing we can say that will make it better, but maybe knowing that there are countless people (in addition to your closest friends and family) thinking about you at this difficult time will help to ease the pain just a little bit. All the best to all of you. Love the Kosses

    Dear Gail and Family,
My sincere condolences for your loss. Brent was a good man, and a wonderful colleague. I always appreciated his quiet and confident manner. I first met Brent at the Cape Horn shop when he was a new journeyman, and I was a new apprentice – 25 years ago. He will be sorely missed. Brent was kind, thoughtful, and very intelligent. We’re all going to miss him dearly. Know that his friends and co-workers will always be there for you – after all, it’s just what Brent would have done.
