We Remember
WILSON, Charles “Will” Willoughby
September 20, 1950 — September 21, 2025
It is with great love and heavy hearts that the family of Charles “Will” Willoughby Wilson announces his peaceful passing on September 21, 2025.
Will was born in Larne, Ireland, on September 20, 1950. Raised on a dairy farm, he developed a lifelong respect for hard work, community, and the land. As a young man, he proudly showed Jersey cattle on the dairy circuit, forging lasting friendships and memories along the way.
After moving to Canada, Will continued to embrace his love of agriculture, spending cherished years working on dairy farms in Manitoba and British Columbia. Those early experiences shaped his enduring appreciation for animals, open spaces, and the simple joys of rural life.
In time, Will brought his determination and people-first spirit to new ventures. He built a successful career as a realtor on the coast, helping families find homes and build new beginnings. In 1991, he settled in Kelowna, where he continued his work as a realtor and developer, leaving a lasting mark on the community he came to love so deeply.
Hockey was one of Will’s greatest passions. He laced up for the Delta Kings beer league team, proudly wearing number 15 and serving as team captain. The rink was a place of camaraderie, competition, and joy — values that reflected Will’s approach to life.
Will will be lovingly remembered by his children Sean (Cassandra), Tammy (Mark), and Ashley (Cody); grandchildren Kyle (Kathleen), Shelby (Nathan), Mathew (Marina), Kianna (Nathaniel), Jonah (Morgan), Robert, Wiloughby, Casey, and Liam; and 11 great-grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy of kindness, laughter, and love. He is also survived by his brother John (Darlene); sisters Josie (Phil) and Elizabeth; and his loyal dog Buddy, who remained by his side for 11 devoted years.
He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Robert and Elizabeth Wilson.
A celebration of Will’s life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to share stories, laughter, and memories in his honour.
Will will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his warmth, humour, and generous spirit — a man who made every place he lived feel like home.
