We Remember
YAGER, Jerome
November 24, 1955 — January 28, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jerome Yager, who left us on January 28, 2026.
Jerome is survived by his devoted wife Carla, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage; his children Delmer, Ladawn, and Jana; and his beloved grandchildren Stanley and Kirk Baxter. He is also survived by his siblings Wayne Yager, Joann Taylor, Kevin Yager, Terry Yager, and Tracey Yager; his future son-in-law Mike (Jana); and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Jerome was happiest when he was outdoors (most often found on a quiet lake with a fishing rod in hand) or at home cheering on his favourite team, the Vancouver Canucks. Those who knew him will remember his steady presence, his sense of humour, and the love he carried for his family and the simple joys of life.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life for Jerome will be announced at a later date.

Dear Carla, I am so sorry for your loss. Jerome always had a smile and a laugh for me – always included me at Deaf Coffee and was such an encouraging person. I can’t imagine the pain you’re going through missing him after 48 years of marriage. He truly was a gem. Thank you for sharing your memories with us and I hope to hear more as time goes by. May you feel comforted by the many memories your friends and family share at this difficult time. Big hug. Alexandra
