Passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully at home, while battling cancer on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the age of 81. Survived by her sons: Chris (former wife Heidi), Russ, David (Adelyn), Kaare (Barb); daughter Lisa Korneli (Uwe); 13 grandchildren: Ryan (Cristine), Jenny (Cory), Alex, Nicolas, Kara, Eleanor, Matthew, Danielle Wilgan (Jamie), Shale (fiancée Stacey Wilcox), Adam (Kayla), Sarah, Quinten and Salina; great grandchildren: Lily and Jordyn; brother Peter Elchyshyn and sister-in-law Edith Wagner. Predeceased by her husband Karl and her brother Ed. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 13th at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Cremation, with interment at a later date in Kamloops. Weekly blood transfusions kept Mom alive and gave us a wonderful last year with her. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a blood donation in her memory. My deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Olga. I didnt know her personally but what I heard about her she was a great lady. Amazing artist as well. I am sure she will be missed.
My condolence to the Yeske family. I am a cousin of Ollie’s and spent two weeks in Gabarus, Cape Breton with her. She was a wonderful and kind person and my sisters Cathy, Helen, Priscilla & Ann Marie enjoyed her company while she visited.
Roger and I have very fond memories of Auntie Ollie. We always looked forward to seeing Karl and Ollie when they came to visit. Auntie Ollie was a very positive person and was a pleasure to be around. She will be greatly missed.
So sorry to hear about Ollie’s passing. We can only believe she is in a much better place now. Ollie was a great across the hall neighbour in Lawrence Villa.
We were sad to hear of cousin Ollies’ passing. I have fond memories of the times we spent together. Our deepest sympathy to all the Yeske family. Always in our hearts.
