We Remember
YOUNG, Victor “Vic” John Albert
—
June 30, 1939 – July 29, 2021
With heavy hearts, the family of Vic announces his peaceful passing at his home in Kelowna on July 29, 2021, at the age of 82.
Born in Vancouver, BC he grew up with two brothers Terry and Derek, and his sister Colleen.
Vic and Brenda married on March 5, 1960, and resided in Surrey, BC.
In 1974 they moved to Blind Bay, BC to begin his passion of building houses through his company Young Construction Ltd for the next 30 years.
He was able to work with family, long-term employees, and many excellent tradesmen in the Shuswap area and beyond.
On the rare occasions when he wasn’t building, he enjoyed playing cards, boating, fishing, golf, and meeting with customers who often became good friends.
Vic had a strong personality with a witty sense of humor and was not shy about communicating what was on his mind.
In 2003 Vic and Brenda moved to Kelowna, BC for their retirement. They both enjoyed travelling around North America together.
Vic’s strong personality, great work ethic, and the time that he spent with his family will never be forgotten and will live on through his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Brenda, we were so sad to hear about Vic’s passing. He was such an interesting man with a great sense of humour, and I have great memories of spending some time with you both at Shan and Gordon’s. Thinking of you.
I am very sorry for your loss and wish your family strength during this difficult time.
