Surrounded by her family, Ruth went peacefully to be with the Lord on June 4, 2022, at the age of 86.
Ruth is survived by her children Wayne (Angie) and Sandra; nieces Maryanne (Bob) and Barb (Larry); and nephews Jim (Chris) and Terry. She was “Gramma” to Christopher and Robbie and “Grams” to Pemry and Katie. She was predeceased by her parents Elva and James; her husband Bob, his son Rob and granddaughter Dylan; and more recently her husband Les; her brothers Hugh (Mary) and Ralph (Babs); and nephews Cal and Ken.
Ruth was born in a farm house in Saskatchewan and slowly migrated west through her life, spending her last years in the Okanagan. And what a journey it was. She was a woman of faith, and yet surprisingly liberal. She was tough and at the same time very generous. She had strong convictions, wasn’t shy about speaking her mind, and yet was often accepting of other points of view. She was as complex as the times she lived through, and she was a risk-taker who truly forged her own path through life. She will be missed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to North Okanagan Valley Gleaners.

Terry and I were saddened to hear of Ruth’s passing. She was a great friend, fellow christian, c0-worker at Gleaners sharing in that working from inception in 2007. We always considered time shared together with them both as a blessing.
Wishing you the very best in this hard time. May her memory bring you peace and joy- The Bullen/McIntosh Family
