We Remember

ZACHOW, Diana Lorraine

March 13, 1954 — August 11, 2020

Diana Lorraine Zachow (née Korpan) went to be with the Lord, on August 11, 2020, at the age of 66 in Kelowna, BC.

Diane is survived by her five daughters: Cheryl Zachow Lange (Trevor), Cindy Gordon (Sean), Crystal Woehler (Jason), Chantal Zachow, and Carley Zachow (Shawn); her seven grandchildren: Hayden, Brett, Rylan, Devon, Kylie, Levi, and Nolan; her sister Debra Paxman; brother Michael Korpan (Ann); her beloved nieces and nephews; and many other family and friends.

She was predeceased by the love of her life, Don, and her precious son, Christopher.

Diana was born on March 13, 1954, in Edmonton, Alberta. She married her sweetheart, Donald Reid Zachow on August 26, 1972, and together they had five beautiful daughters and one son.

Diane returned to school as an adult and trained as an LPN at the Drumheller College and started her new career at the Drumheller Hospital. Diane was proud of her 25-year career as an LPN and recently retired from Kelowna General Hospital.

Diane and Don moved to the sunny Okanagan in 1990 where they continued to share a love of adventuring and road trips with the girls.

She will always be remembered by her grandkids as “the best NANA ever”, someone who they could talk to, get a hug from or do something fun with, they could count on Nana. Mom was always ready to lend a hand to anyone, especially one of us girls. She was a list maker, an organizer, and loved helping people purge.

She was a sweet, kind-hearted, generous, and loving mom, nana, sister, aunt and friend.

She has shown us what strength and determination looks like. She was stronger than we ever imagined.

Mom developed a deeper love for travelling in the past few years, she enjoyed trips to Mexico and Cuba and was always the first one to say, “where are we going to next?”.

Mom appreciated the simple things, like meeting up for coffee, “grabbing a bite somewhere”, going for a drive, getting an ice cream, and spending time with her family.

Diane was a woman of faith, she loved God and is now rejoicing in Heaven.

Due to social distancing regulations, there will be an intimate family Celebration of Life on Sunday, September 6, 2020.

Should family and friends so desire, memorial donations could be made in her honour to : COACH Program(Central Okanagan Association for Cardiac Health) #204-2622 Pandosy Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 1V6, www.coachkelowna.com.
