We Remember
Zwaagstra, Tine (Tryntje)
August 9, 1928 — February 1, 2012
Born: August 9, 1928.
Tine Zwaagstra was passed from the arms of her husband Sjouke, the love of her life, into the loving arms of Jesus on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 while surrounded by her family.
Mom had a tremendous commitment to her Heavenly Father, was a loving wife, caring mother, and grandma extraordinaire. Her joyful spirit was filled with singing, music, laughter and elegance. The best tea parties always happened at Grandma’s!
She left us a legacy that we are so proud of: she taught us how to love, how to be loved and how to give love. Predeceased by her eldest son, Joe (Sjoerd) Zwaagstra in 2007, she will be greatly missed but forever remembered by her husband Sjouke, and children Laurel (wife of Joe), Shirley (Harry Byl), John (Cynthia), David (Sherry), 16 grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
A Celebration of her Life will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at 2:00 pm at the East Hill Community Church, 3605 – 12th Street, Vernon, BC. . In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Tine’s memory to The Canadian Cancer Society (Multiple Myeloma Research), 202-1835 Gordon Drive, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 3H5.

My condolences to the Zwaagstra family. Some of my fondest early childhood memories are of being your family home and sleeping in your tent in the yard. Your mother had the best lemon cake for snacking on. Such a beautiful family you are. My love to all of you at this time. Your faith in our Lord Jesus touches my heart.

Lieve familie,
